Milliyonic [mill-ee-on-ik]
Milliyonic is a numeral representation of people that cannot be totaled or tallied. As a result I believe that everything we do for Jesus should be that big. Milliyonic Big.
-Milliyon
The above terminology was founded by Keenan “Milliyon” Browne. Milliyon is an Atlanta based artist signed to CAJO International – independent label of Canton Jones. Knowing that ministry goes beyond the music, Milliyon, through his movement, is challenging young Christians to live “Milliyonic.” This means “actually [taking] a stand for Christ and not being bystanders for Christ,” he explains. While young people are surrounded by several worldly distractions, Milliyon says he knows “according to 1 Timothy 4:12 that ‘real’ on fire for Jesus Christian young adults exist.”
Having established what is “Milliyonic,” we move along to who is Milliyon? And why?
Milliyon established his relationship with Christ at the age of 6 and immediately “decided to put [his] faith to work.” Reason being: a bike. Milliyon explains how he “stood on the scripture John 14:14 for one whole year and after [that] got the exact bike I was believing God for.” Excited about his success with putting faith into action, Milliyon was “determined to apply this faith concept to every area in [his] life. Family, finances, healing and school.”
Over the years, Milliyon has continued to grow spiritually and has also gotten involved with in-church ministries. He is a youth specialist in B.I.G at World Changers Church International. The mission: “reaching young people by any means necessary. In our youth ministry we develop supernatural young people who know how to effectively apply the word in their everyday lives causing them to have a passion for God and make wise choices.”
Moving on to music, I found Milliyon’s favorite song to perform is “Hey You,” which features MouthpieceMP3. The lyrics to the song are as follows: “Hey you! What are you waiting for? Hey you! Heaven is waiting for, somebody living for Jesus! Hey You! What are you living for! Hey You! Is it really worth dying for! If it’s for Jesus!” Milliyon feels “everything you do needs to be for Christ. If not, then it isn’t worth it.” This song relays just that. It is “in line with the Milliyonic lifestyle. Heaven is waiting for someone who’s going to stand and be loud for Jesus Christ.”
Speaking of being “loud,” Milliyon does not miss a moment to play “Mr. Controversy” when online talking to his fan base. He recently asked –via twitter- “Is it okay for Christians to feature on secular songs and vice versa?" In response to his own question, he had this to say:
“I believe that each person has their own relationship with Christ and that they should hear God on it. The Bible says in Matthew 10:16 “be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.” The Lord could use you to be the ministering avenue to this particular artist [their] fan base. It also talks about being the light in the midst of darkness. My issue with a lot of today’s artist that are Christian based is that we continue to be the light in the midst of light. I think that God set missions for certain people. Some [are meant] to reach the lost and some to encourage the church. I live my life based on 1 Timothy 4:12 thay says “Be an example to the believers and non believers in word, conversation, charity, faith and in purity” If it takes me doing a song with _(insert secular artist here)_ to get _(insert secular artist here)_ saved then I will be the non compromising on fire light in the midst of a dark musical arena!”
