J & Company Christian Modeling InChrist
Build, train, and develop from the inside out.

About the Founder:

As an infant, Jearlean she was diagnosed with cancer and not expected to live passed the age of three. She underwent several series of treatment and surgeries that induced her low self-esteem and prompted endless insecurities. The answer: cover up the inside hurt by dressing up on the outside. Jearlean discovered that did not work. However, while going through the healing process and being delivered from cancer, she “learned how to be a survivor.” Deliverance was a spiritual journey in and of itself and ultimately provided Jearlean with a new confidence. In order to succeed “you must know who you are inside and out,” Taylor says. Each child is a child of the King. It is the mission of JACC to instill such confidence and “challenge them to walk proudly, hold their heads high, and stand firm because of who they know.”

JACCM Inc

Based out of Maryland, Jearlean Taylor founded J & Company Christian Modeling Inc in September 2005. The idea of Christian modeling came to her after helping a friend organize a church fashion show. Jearlean already had an interest and background in modeling, however she did not always enjoy the experience. She explains, “I saw how other models were being treated because they did not have the perfect walk or not small enough to fit a certain outfit. I was bothered by that and wanted to make a change.” Jearlean was further driven to make a change because of her own struggles with low self-esteem, for years a child. Now she helps children and teens develop self-confidence through modeling and teaching God confidence.

JACCM offers services outside of runway coaching and show coordination. They also have self-esteem lectures and round table group discussions. I asked Jearlean what values are taught and discussed and she gave this list:

• Never lower your standards to satisfy others
• Everyone is a designer original, stop trying to be someone else
• Utilize what you learn on the runway and apply it to your life. (hold your head up, if you trip keep moving,       always show strength and confidence)
• Learn to stay in your lane and strengthen your talents everyone ca not do it all!
• Looks can be deceiving, never count people out, nor allow them to count you out based on what they see
• PUSH!!! P-pray U-until S-something H-happens
• Be your best cheerleader, just incase no one’s there to cheer you on.

Other than clothing and the fact the models are Christians, what sets J & Company apart?
J & Company sets an atmosphere of family.  We model together, worship together, and maintain a positive relationship with one another in our public and personal lives. We train from the inside out to help the individual find their true passions. We are not molding the models just to be models, but we are building spirits, character, and confidence so they can become what their heart desires. We encourage the models to be leaders and a “light” in their daily lives. We are different because we accept all nationalities, all shapes, all sizes, as well as the saved and unsaved. JACCM is different because we depend on God/ Holy Spirit to direct our paths. We believe Christian modeling is powerful, positive, and uplifting. We know with God’s direction, CEO vision, our life testimonies, and obedience JACCM has what it takes to change the fashion industry.
